1) Please tell us a little about yourself. Who are you, how old are you, what are your hobbies?
I’m Cailin MacBayne, a member of the MacKenzie Clan of Breaghacraig. I stand at 6’4” and have black hair and mesmerizing grey eyes, or so the lasses tell me. **eyes twinkle with mischief** I’m six and twenty and I’m in love with the most beautiful lass in all the world. I wasn’t expecting love, but it found me and I’m glad of it. I believe a man is judged by his behavior and I choose to always behave with honor. Hobbies? I dinna have time for hobbies. The things that keep me busy are training with me men, hunting, solving disputes on the MacKenzie lands and sharing time with the woman I love.
2) What do you want to achieve?
I would like to live in peace with a family of my own. My sister is married to Robert MacKenzie and they have 4 wee ones. I'd like to have that in my life - a woman to love and bairns of our own.
3) Who or what stands in your way?
There are two who stand in my way - Sir Richard Jefford and his henchman, Thomas. They hate the MacKenzies and they hate me and would do anything to destroy us.
4) What is your greatest fear?
My greatest fear is losing my Ashley. I pray no harm will ever come to her. Anyone who hurts her will suffer the consequences.
5) Who would you consider your best friend in the entire world?
Ah, well, that would be my brother Cormac. He’s my younger brother, you see. We’ve been inseparable since we were wee bairns. We led our mother on a merry chase nearly every day back then. We were always getting into mischief of one kind or another as young ones and that hasn’t changed much with age. No one can make me laugh like Cormac can. He is quite amusing and good fun to spend time with. Don’t tell him I said that or his head is likely to swell to twice its size. He also offers good council in times of need. I can always count on him to be by my side in good times or bad.
6) Pick a favorite: ice cream or chocolate.
Ye wouldnae believe a sixteenth century Highlander has ever had either ice cream or chocolate. I have had the pleasure of trying both. My favorite would be chocolate ice cream.
